Precautionary Measures against Ragging

• As per the regulations of UGC and guidance of NCTE we have taken all the precautionary measures regarding the issue of Anti ragging.
• We have placed banners both inside and outside of the campus and circulated pamphlets, leaflets regarding ragging and its consequences.
• All the students of our college are briefed about Anti-Ragging by the Principal and all the Heads of the departments in a special meeting organized by the management.
• In the starting of every academic year we arrange Freshers day function organized by the seniors to welcome the juniors in order to create a friendly relationship among seniors and juniors.
• Undertaking forms are collected from the students at the time of admission stating that they will not indulge in ragging in campus or any other place. The same has been informed to the parents and affidavit form by the parents/guardian has been collected.
• Our college also formed an “Anti-Ragging Committee” headed by the head of our institution and senior faculty members (Heads of various departments and Professors).
• An Anti-Ragging Squad is formed under the supervision of Anti-Ragging committee.
• The work of Anti-Ragging Squad is to go around/patrolling the institution and the common area in the campus, maintain vigil and take action if they notice any incidence of ragging in the institution.
• The teaching staffs have personal interaction with the freshers and encourage them to report about any ragging incidents.
• The details of the antiragging committee like The Name, E-mail address, mobile number of all the Anti-Ragging committee members, Anti-Ragging Squad and also the Nodal officer to whom the complaints of ragging should be made are available in our college website.
